Playing ice hockey certainly is challenging so you should start playing the game only when you are mature enough to play it. You also have to be sure that you master the art of skating before you actually play this game. Ice hockey is generally pretty challenging games as compared to any other game as it involves the skills of hockey and also skating together. You certainly have to master the skills of skating to a much greater extent as you might have to skating pretty rough when playing this game.

Learning and perfecting the skills is a time consuming act so it requires lot of dedication and commitment. So you should in fact be able to skate at very high speeds and should have the ability to stop within instant or even turn in any direction immediately. So before you even begin with playing ice hockey you should in fact try and join best ice skating classes as you may not be able to perfect this art all by yourself. When playing the game it is also advisable to make use of each and every guard like helmets, gloves, knee pads, groin guards, chest guards etc.

Hockey – Rules and Regulations.

Many people find hockey as a complex game but if you understand few calls like icing and offsides then anyone can master this game easily. If you want to make your win in the game then it is certain that your team has to try and score more number of goals as compared to opponent team. In hockey you score goal by pucking in the ball in opponents net. Throwing ball by hand or high stick is never counted. In this game six players are allowed in the icing which includes a goal keeper, two defenders and three players as forwards.

Each team has its own set of players and each match has its own referee. This game is very much energetic and is played in three different intervals of twenty minutes each. In case the results are not declared by the end of three rounds then penalty shoot out is called by the referee.
