Hockey is a religion
Canadians consider hockey as a religion just like Indians consider cricket as a religion (despite hockey being the national sport). The northern part of the US Canadian border is influenced a lot by hockey. Most of their experiences and fond memories revolve around hockey, whether being played on a frozen pond or proper ice grounds or even the streets. Earlier only boys used to play it but now a lot of girl and women too are also involved in the sport. It has become more and more popular and kids do not shy taking it up as a hobby or even competitively. People here play it full enthusiasm so the game brings joy and happiness. A game loved by all –hockey!
Hockey is a lovely game and attracts a lot of people because of many reason. Watching a hockey game is nothing less than a pleasurable experience. First of all it is played on ice surfaces and the way the players move is very exciting. The pace and speed is just exhilarating. This game can change its outcome and can be really fun as in a second everything changes. There can be times when both the teams do not score for a long time but when it actually happens, the environment around becomes enthusiastic. A lot of action around and nail biting moments are fun to watch. All players are determined to score and to see all this is just fantastic.
In Canada, hockey has its special place. It is almost like some festival when a hockey match takes place. People flood stadiums and are eager to grab the front row seats. Ice hockey has had a long and rich history and can be related with epic battles and hockey being played on streets covered with ice. Who would not memorize such moments!
It is not only nation that plays hockey. A lot of nations like it, love it and play it. A lot of players from different parts of the world form teams. It is an exciting sport and gives excellent memories to all. Hockey as it is liked in Canada can be loved by other nations with time and if that happens it will be fantastic.
